Google Merchant Center: Creating Account and Linking with Ad Words
No need
to sign up to Google merchant. It’s automatically sync with my existing Gmail
account.
Google
Merchant Center is signed in my Gmail account. If you don't have a Google
account, go to accounts.google.com and click Create an account. When we're
ready, go to Merchant Center and sign in with our Google account to get
started.
So, we
don't need to sign up for Google Merchant. It'll automatically sync with our
Google account.
If we have an Amazon store, how can we link to it? And when another new client arrives, his website will be different, so how do we work on Merchant, that is, how to create a separate Merchant account?
No, we
can't use Google merchant for Amazon product listing.
Be
informed that Google Shopping requires us to claim the website. As we are not
the owner of Amazon.com, we cannot claim the website. Hence we can't list
Amazon products via Google Merchant.
Secondly,
we can link different websites to a single merchant account considering the
policies and guidelines of Google Merchant Centre.
If my
client doesn't have a Google merchant account do I have to do the process through
my account?
If our client
asks us to create an account for him, then we have to create a Google Merchant
account for him as explained to us in video lectures. Our client will provide
all the relevant details for that. Once the account is active we can handover
that to our client by sharing the credentials of that account.
It is
highly recommended to create a separate account for our client using a separate
email ID.

Does it use Amazon product listing? Like we get traffic on our Amazon account through this or this is only used for website-related products?
We cannot
use Google merchant center for Amazon product listing. Be informed that Google

Amazon.com, we cannot claim the website. Hence we can't list Amazon products
via Google Merchant.
Can we use the link of DUKAN.COM / DIGITALSHOP.COM ETC instead of our website?
No, we
can’t use someone else's website link in the Google Merchant Center. It is
because, when we provide our website link, Google also asks to copy-paste the
code in the website to verify and claim our website. There are three ways to
verify and claim our website i.e. HTML tag, Google Analytics account, or Google Tag Manager.
When a client hires us as a Freelancer before we start working on the project we have to discuss all the aspects with our client. There are two following scenarios:
1. The
client will give us access to his Google merchant center account to manage how
in-store and online product inventory appears on Google.
2. If we
create a Google merchant center account with our profile, we can use it for
the client.
Which type of website do we need for the merchant center?
For
example, its a client website or do we have to create our own website for this
account??
It
depends on the products that we want to market. We need to verify or claim a
product-related website while creating a merchant account.
If we are marketing the client's product, we need to verify the client's website, or if we are selling our own products, we can use our own created website.
Ensure
that the website used to verify in merchant account should be products related
that we want to market.
